Jude tops 8lbs

At his two week visit to the doctor on Monday the 22nd of September, Jude tipped the scales at 8lbs 3oz surpassing his birth weight of 7lbs 12oz and making the doctor, his mom, and especially his dad very proud. The doc says they like to see them get somewhere close to their birth weight by two weeks --- Jude said he could do that standing on his head ( or more accurately laying on Mom's boobie). The family has been enjoying some time out of the house lately by going on walks and getting to eat out, too.  

Jude gets his first library card

On Monday the 15th of september, Jude became the youngest member of Bee Cave Public Library when the family stopped by while at the Hill Country Galleria. The ladies at the library were so impressed that he wanted a library card that they took his picture and said they would publish it in the next newsletter. They were also kind enough to send the picture to Dad's email. Mom checked out The Happiest Baby on the Block dvd, Dad checked out Big and Little by Steve Jenkins and Jude checked out The Lord's Prayer illustrated by Tim Ladwig. 

Auntie Laura and Uncky Darren Visit SBJ

On Sunday the 14th of september, while Jude was watching the football games, Laura and Darren came by to visit. We all had a great time eating fruit and taking pictures. They told Jude all about planting a garden and compost piles. He was very excited about the greens they plan to plant as he is a big fan of farting. They also sent some cool pics from their visit.

Jude Benjamin Welch

On Tuesday September 9, 2008   Jude Benjamin Welch gave his mom and dad a big surprise and came to meet them 10 days early. Here are some pictures from their meeting. He officially arrived at 12:17 pm and weighed in at 7 pounds 12 ounces measuring 21 inches long.
